You Besca Believe It (PLV)
On Tuesday, November 3, Mark Besca ’81, NYC office managing partner at EY (Ernst & Young), will visit the Westchester Campus as part of Lubin’s Executive in Residence program.
For the last 25+ years, Lubin’s Executive in Residence program has made it possible for chairs, C-suite executives, presidents, and other top professionals to come to Pace to interact with Lubin students and faculty.
And on Tuesday, November 3, Lubin brings one of their success stories: Mark Besca ’81, New York City office managing partner at EY, to talk to students and faculty about the future of accounting from 12:15 p.m.–1:15 p.m. in the Gottesman Room.
Besca, who earned his BBA in accounting at Pace and currently serves as Chairman of the Board of Trustees, started his career at EY (then Arthur Young) in 1980 as an intern through the Pace co-op program.
“Pace was there for me, and I just can’t forget it because without Pace I wouldn’t be where I am today,” he said.
Today, Besca is EY’s NYC office managing partner and the former northeast area industry leader for the media and entertainment group. He also served previously as the area assurance and advisory managing partner. He has served multi-national clients for more than 35 years, including Time Warner, Time Warner Cable, Warner Music Group, IAC/InterActive Corp., The McGraw-Hill Companies, Thomson Corporation, News Corporation, EMI Music, and Advance Publications. Besca has served as a member of the firm's audit quality committee and gender equity task force and is also a familiar face to national television viewers, representing EY at awards shows including the Emmys and American Music Awards.
