Winslow Homer and Realism (NYC)
From boating scenes to the Civil War, your favorite way to spend a Wednesday focuses on the paintings of Winslow Homer at the Great American Masters Lecture Series on October 21.
Add some color, culture, and creativity to your week at the Great American Masters Lecture Series with art historian and Professor Janetta Rebold Benton, PhD. On Wednesday, October 21, at 12:15 p.n, in the Schimmel Theatre, time travel with Benton back to the 1800s and revisit the work and realism of Winslow Homer (1836–1910), who visually documented American life in his paintings that depict everything from the Civil War to the high seas.
