Spring Forward with 50 Days (PLV)

News Story

Play step-dance Jeopardy, catch some spring sports, find a mentor, listen to a famous indie musician, and so much more this week as part of 50 Days and 50 Nights in PLV.

Now that spring break is over, it’s time to dive back into the spring semester! Get ready to go after that dream internship or job at the PLV Campus Spring 2017 Job and Internship Fair, and take some time to unwind with a performance from musician Jeff LeBlanc, a pageant, Fraternity Feud, and more as part of SDCA’s 50 Days and 50 Nights.

Grit and Ice Cream Social

Tuesday, March 21

Baseball vs. Nyack College

Come out for a swinging good time to see the Pace Baseball team take on the Nyack College Warriors.

Career Services Interview Workshop

HiPo Leadership Series: Successful Relationship Building in the Workplace

Develop to your highest potential! In this session, you will learn about the shifting workplace culture with regard to how an organization views those who serve it. Learn about how companies are promoting an open work environment and the ability to be authentic.

Networking with Mentors for an Evening
5:30 p.m.–7:00 p.m. | Kessel Multipurpose Room
Connect with a select group of our most successful alumni who are eager to share their wisdom and advice about life beyond Pace! During this speed networking event, you'll have the chance to connect with alumni through four rounds of approximately 10 minutes to receive guidance, advice, and career tips. Students and alumni will connect through insights into relevant industries, and learn how to put oneself in position to succeed after graduation. This event is open to sophomores, junior, and seniors.

Jeopardy: 808s Edition

What is…the art of stepping? Join the 808s step team for a game of Jeopardy that will help the Pace Community understand the origins of step dance and culture.

Women’s Leadership Conference

Women, unite! The third annual Women’s Leadership Conference is a student-run conference which strives to foster leadership development, and is focused around the theme of She Can. We Can. Session topics range from being unapologetically you, to pushing boundaries, to breaking the glass ceiling. Register here.

Happy Hour: Musician Jeff LeBlanc

Folk rock/indie singer and songwriter Jeff LeBlanc has achieved incredible success as an independent artist—netting three top 20 albums on the iTunes singer/songwriter chart, scoring satellite and radio play, and opening up for artists such as Gavin DeGraw, Tori Kelly, Colbie Caillat, Daughtry, and more.

Cheer on Pace’s softball team as they attempt to rock Franklin Pierce University and Rocky the Raven from clinching a win.

Women’s Lacrosse vs. Saint Michael’s College
4:00 p.m. | Pace Stadium
Put on your pink and show your support for breast cancer awareness at the Pace Goes Pink Women's Lacrosse match. We can feel it coming in the air to-knight that Pace’s Women’s Lacrosse team is going to bring its A-game to this matchup against the Purple Knights of Saint Michael’s College.

Let’s Go Go-Karting
4:00 p.m.–8:00 p.m. | North Hall Bus Stop
Time to put all those years of Mario Kart training to the test IRL! SOCA is hosting a go-karting trip to Grand Prix New York in Mount Kisco, home of two stellar indoor tracks.

Pace Pageant
8:00 p.m.–11:00 p.m. | Gottesman Room
Help in the fight to beat breast cancer and cheer on some of Pace’s beauties in Sigma Iota Chi’s annual Pace Pageant where men and women compete in a talent round, question round, and formal wear round. The winning male and female will take home a crown and a $50 gift card. Attendees will pay $5 for entrance with all proceeds benefitting breast cancer research.

Grow with Your Strengths

Make spring come a little faster with a pretty potted plant! StrengthsQuest interns will be giving away flower pots, soil, and seeds for students to decorate their flower pot according to their strengths, and watch their plant and strengths flourish.

Pleasantville Campus Spring 2017 Job and Internship Fair

Suit up and spring into Goldstein to get in front of nearly 100 employers including Coca-Cola, PwC, and Today Media, who are looking for star interns and employees. Make sure to bring several copies of your resume, dress for success in professional attire, and get ready to make those important networking connections.

In this match up, our strong Setters will attempt to send Charlie the Charger of the University of New Haven running out of town.
