News Story

Get your sights set on open mic nights and musicians, putt-putt and poster sales, and a Super Bowl extravaganza.

We’re seeing with 50/50 vision on the PLV Campus now that 50 Days and 50 Nights is back! This week you can kick it with Career Services to get those interview skills in tip-top shape, try step dance or singing at an Open Mic Night with Pace Perk, or feel the philanthropic vibes by donating blood or getting dedicated in a dodgeball tournament.

Monday, January 30

Open Mic Night with Pace Perk
11:30 a.m.–3:00 p.m. | Pace Perk
Testing…one…two. We’ve seen America’s talent, but now we’re looking for Pace’s, so bring your singing voice, dancing shoes, stand-up comedy, stage illusions, or any other talent to the Pace Perk.

Blood Drive

Growing up in a technological age, our generation has experienced a paradigm shift in regard to advocating for others. Instead of going out to talk to elected officials or vocalizing in community organizations, we tend to voice our advocacy over the Internet. Come chat with fellow students and staff about how we can use #Advocacy movements to make change in our community.

Super Smash Crows
6:00 p.m.–9:00 p.m. | Gottesman Room
Join the brothers of AXP for a super tournament of Super Smash Brothers featuring food and games for all to play.

Happy Hour: Musician Jesse Labelle
8:00 p.m. | Gottesman Room
Gather in the Gottesman for Happy Hour featuring country/pop-rock artist Jesse Labelle, who opened up for Keith Urban’s “Raise ‘Em Up Tour.”


Friday, February 3

Putt for the Veterans
3:00 p.m.–8:00 p.m. | Kessel, Multipurpose Room
Play putt-putt for a great cause! Raise money for the Wounded Warrior Project by playing a nine-hole, mini-golf course right in the heart of Kessel. The sisters of Alpha Phi Delta will be asking participants to make a donation if they play mini-golf and eat.

AXE Poster Sale
12:00 p.m.–2:00 p.m. | Kessel Conference Room A/B
Looking for the perfect picture of London to complete your blank dorm wall? Maybe a poster of Drake would complete your décor. Either way, stop by the AXE poster sale for the trendiest art to help get your room ready for the spring semester.

Ribbon Cutting Ceremony

Join NATURE for a special ribbon cutting ceremony announcing the new Hoop House on campus that will be home to a variety of plants.

IFC Philanthropy Dinner

Join the Interfraternity Council (IFC) at Pace for a feast fit for a fraternity! This fun, banquet-style dinner complete with karaoke will inform new potential members on the different philanthropies for which each organization fundraises.

Get your buzzers ready! Black History Month is here and BSU is hosting Black History Month Family Feud as a fun way to test people's knowledge of Black history while honoring African American men and women who have donated their excellence to society.

Be a gym class hero and compete in Colleges Against Cancer’s Protect Your Balls Dodgeball Tournament, which will raise money for the American Cancer Society.
