Remembering 9/11

Join the Pace Community in commemorating the 15th anniversary of 9/11/01 with vigils on both campuses, stories from our community, and memorials made from the heart.
Fifteen years ago, the tragic events of 9/11 were not only felt around the world, but also at our University located just blocks away from the World Trade Center—where our nation and our community were forever changed within a matter of hours that day. The Pace Community mourned the loss 47 members—students and alumni alike—and was closed for several weeks as we worked toward recovery.
Come together with the Pace Community to remember, reflect, and honor those we lost at events being held on both campuses:
Friday, September 9
Wall of Expression
12:00 p.m.–2:00 p.m. | Alumni Lawn | PLV Campus
Join the PLV community and Alpha Chi Epsilon to create a 9/11 memorial by spray painting words of emotion about the tragedy on a door.
Sunday, September 11
9/11 Candlelight Vigil
8:00 p.m.–11:00 p.m. | Kessel Café | PLV Campus
Join Alpha Phi Delta and the PLV community to remember and honor all those lost on September 11 at a candlelight vigil.
Office of Housing and Residential Life 9/11 Vigil
9:00 p.m. | Entrance of One Pace Plaza | NYC Campus
Join Housing and Res Life and the NYC community at a vigil, held at the entrance of One Pace Plaza and then proceeding to the Hilton hotel directly across from the site, to remember and honor all those lost on September 11, 2001.
