Race for the Cure 2015
September is just around the corner and it's almost time to race for the cure. Register today and join the Pace team in the fight against breast cancer.
In 2015, it is estimated that there will be 231,840 new cases of invasive breast cancer, 60,290 new cases of in situ breast cancer, and 40,290 breast cancer deaths among US women alone. For men, it’s estimated that there will be 2,350 new cases and 440 deaths. On Sunday, September 13, step out with the Pace Community as we run for life at the 25th annual Susan G. Komen Greater NYC: Race for the Cure in Central Park.
Since 1990, Komen Greater NYC has raised approximately $65 million and awarded $45 million in grants to local breast health programs for underserved and at-risk women, as well as invested in cutting-edge research to find the cures.
Last year, with more than 110 participants, Pace University once again fielded the largest team from a university or college. And we want to keep this streak going!
So what are you waiting for?
Participants will receive:
- >> A commemorative t-shirt
- >> Goody bag
- >> Breakfast
- >> Transportation from PLV to Central Park
Out of town that weekend? Can’t make the race? You can still make a difference. Back by popular demand—Sleep for the Cure! Register for the race and then spend your Sunday morning sleeping in. Participants can also run or walk.
Take your daughter or son to work, plan for retirement, and stay up to date with the latest from Human Resources.
