Forbidden love. Unlikely friendship. The curtain will rise on the Pace New Musicals 2018 season starting Wednesday, January 31. Are you ready?

Every year, the Pace School of Performing Arts' Pace New Musical program develops new musicals by student, emerging, and established musical theater writers through professionally directed, semi/fully staged with “book in hand” workshops using the talent of the BFA Musical Theater program. This is a highly anticipated event, one you won't want to miss! Catch these shows before they hit the Broadway stage:

MARY & MAX

Wednesday, January 31, through Sunday, February 4
7:30 p.m. evening performances and one 2:00 p.m. afternoon performance
Schaeberle Studio Theater

A musical adaptation of the claymation film by Academy Award winner Adam Elliot, MARY & MAX tells the tale of two people living on opposite ends of the world who become pen pals and, in the process of writing to one another, unlikely friends.

HALONA & OPHELIA

Saturday, February 3, and Sunday, February 4

Twelve years after the King’s death, Queen Halona embarks on a journey of vengeance by declaring war on the Sinclair Kingdom. Once there, she meets Princess Ophelia, and the two fall in love despite all odds.
