Pace in China
President Stephen J. Friedman and members of the Pace Community travel to China this month to meet with alumni, Pace parents, and friends of the University.
This month, Pace University President Stephen J. Friedman, VP of Development and Alumni Relations Jennifer Bernstein, and University Principal Gifts Officer Roselyn Lanzano will travel to China where they will host Pace alumni and parent receptions, meet individually with prominent alumni and academic partners, as well as participate in the Confucius Institute Global Conference.
“Pace is proud to have a wonderful community of many highly successful alumni and friends in Beijing, Shanghai and Hong Kong,” says Bernstein, “Our international alumni are a source of strength for Pace on many levels and we are looking forward to an exciting and productive trip. We hope this will lay the foundation for much more robust outreach in the region.”
This visit, which comes on the heels of a visit in June by former Associate Provost Mark Poisel, is a great opportunity for the President to get to know our partners and alumni in China. Pace is such a global community, with more than 1,400 international students, including 650 from China, varying partnerships with Chinese universities, a Confucius Institute at Pace, and a new Global Asia Studies program at Dyson College. On December 5-14, the Pace group will travel to Beijing, Shanghai, and Hong Kong to meet with important alumni, including Jem Li '99, Managing Partner, Beijing Office, Winston & Strawn; Thierry Roques '87, VP and CFO, Coca-Cola, China and Korea; and Charles Mak '77, '80, Vice Chairman, Asia Pacific, President, International Wealth Management, Morgan Stanley, Asia, among others.
