Kenan Award Nominations
The faculty is the lifeblood of any institution of higher learning and at Pace, we're all about rewarding excellence. Nominations for the Kenan Award for Teaching Excellence are due on February 27.
Each year, the University selects peer-nominated faculty members to receive the Kenan Award for Teaching Excellence in order to recognize exemplary teaching performance. The recipient will be acknowledged at Commencement with a plaque and a monetary award.
The Office of the Provost encourages you to participate in the process of selecting this year's Kenan Award recipients by nominating your colleagues. Full-time faculty members who meet the following criteria will be considered:
- >> Unusual effectiveness in classroom performance
- >> Evidence of an outstanding degree of student understanding and concern
- >> Demonstrated high standards of intellectual interest; and
- >> A continuing source of inspiration to their colleagues.
Nominations are invited from faculty, students, and administrators, and should include a one or two-page supporting statement indicating how the nominee meets the criteria. Submit nominations (in a sealed envelope marked Kenan Nominee) to the Office of the Provost and Executive Vice President for Academic Affairs, with a copy to the appropriate Dean by the deadline of 5:00 p.m. on Monday, February 27, 2017.
Further information and criteria considerations are available on the Office of the Provost website. For questions, please contact Administrative Director for Academic Programs and Faculty Affairs Jonne Ronquillo at email@example.com or (212) 346-1720.
