Spam E-mail Filtering: Changes Regarding Your E-mail Spam Quarantine Mailbox Beginning Saturday, December 7 for Students, Faculty, and Staff
We have been notified by Microsoft, the vendor providing our spam e-mail filtering system, Exchange Online Protection (EOP), that they are making a change to their service. As a result, beginning Saturday, December 7, you will no longer have e-mail delivered to a spam quarantine mailbox, currently accessible at https://quarantine.messaging.microsoft.com. Instead, e-mail flagged as quarantined spam will be delivered to the Exchange "Junk Folder" within Outlook or OWA (https://email.pace.edu). Additional information can be found on the E-mail Filtering or IT Status pages.
Website Updates for Students, Faculty, and Staff
ITS continues to work closely with University Relations and has recently launched several newly themed pages. Check out the redesigned sites at:
LanFax System Migration for Faculty and Staff
We are upgrading our LanFax server effective Tuesday, December 10. As part of the upgrade, some of the changes that will occur are listed below:
- Confirmation e-mails will now come from Faxserver@pace.edu
- The attachments will be formatted as PDF instead of TIF
- The Fax # field in the Pace University White Pages page (http://whitepages.pace.edu) will no longer be viewable. If you would like your fax number to appear or have additional personal fax numbers, you can use the Alt. Fax # field which will appear on the White Pages. Details/updates will be posted to the IT Status page.
As the warmer weather (finally) rolls in, Pace professors aren’t taking a break just yet—they’re lending their expertise to several publications, and we’ve got it all here for you. Talk about summer reading!
