Introducing: Seidenberg Design Factory
The Pace University NYC Design Factory, a physical hub to develop projects rooted in design thinking, is officially in business. Come celebrate with a week’s worth of events culminating with the official launch on Friday, September 30.
Pace University has a new playground where companies and students can come together to create! Several years in the making, the Pace University NYC Design Factory aims to create a physical space where the NYC community can come together to gain a working understanding of design thinking using project-based-learning methodology. Seidenberg’s design factory—one of only two design factories in the United States—will proudly join the Design Factory Global Network, in partnership with 10 other institutions worldwide including Aalto Design Factory in Helsinki, Finland and the DUOC Design Factory in Santiago, Chile. Although the design factory is housed by Seidenberg, all are welcome to participate in events and offerings in this truly interdisciplinary field!
To punctuate the opening of this exciting new space, the Pace Community will officially celebrate the Pace University NYC Design Factory launch on Friday, September 30 from 8:00 a.m.–10:00 a.m. on the 2nd floor of 163 William Street. The launch will feature a ribbon cutting and keynote by Kalevi Ekman—the founder of the original Design Factory at Aalto University, Finland, and the Design Factory Global Network. Space is limited, so get tickets here.
But before we get there, we're going to have some fun! Join Seidenberg for launch week events, which include:
