This month, we’ve got a great lineup of fun and worthwhile LGBTQ events including poetry, guest speakers, awards, and more. Support these events and show your pride!
Poetry on the patio, renowned activists, and awards ceremony to remember—Pace has got a lot going on over the next few weeks. Attend some of these events, and help make Pace’s LGTBQA community stronger than ever!
Poetry on the Patio: Queer Poems at Mortola
Wednesday, April 13 | 12:10 p.m.–1:10pm | Mortola Patio, Westchester Campus
Soak in the spring with some afternoon poetry. Poets Janlori Goldman and Rachel M. Simon will kick off the festivities on the Mortola patio, followed by readings from students. Students are encouraged to bring their own poems, or can choose poems from books that will be on hand. Rumor has it that everyone’s favorite friend (first name Light, last name Refreshments) will also be in attendance.

A Night of Noise
Friday, April 15 | 6:00 p.m.–10:00 p.m. | Bianco Room, New York City Campus
The LGBTQA and Social Justice Center will be hosting a Night of Noise event in the courtyard of One Pace Plaza on the evening of Day of Silence, a national day to raise awareness about LGBTQ bullying. For the event, Pace is thrilled to be hosting guest speakers and renowned activists CeCe McDonald and Joshua Allen, who will be speaking about their experiences and efforts to bring unity and respect to the LGBTQ community. McDonald is the focus of the documentary film FREE CeCe!, which tackles the issue of trans-misogyny and the epidemic of violence surrounding trans women of color. To reserve your tickets, click here.
Thursday, April 21 | 6:00 p.m.–9:00 p.m. | 157 William Street, 18th Floor, New York City Campus
