Fool-Proof Finals Week
The Tutoring Center isn’t going to try to put the fun in fundamental mathematics, but they’re going to try to help you take the “F” out of it. Plus, other end-of-semester extended hours, sweet study spots, writing revamps, and more.
You may be in denial, but finals are here. And it’s time to hit the books…and the resources.
For Your Reference: Extended Library Hours (NYC and PLV)
Looking to get your study on in the Library? Both the Birnbaum and Mortola libraries will have extended hours for the final exam period. Through Tuesday, December 20, the Birnbaum Library will be open weekdays from 8:00 a.m.–2:00 a.m., and weekends from 10:00 a.m.–2:00 a.m., while the Mortola Library will be open 24 hours.
Shhh: Quiet Places to Study (NYC and PLV)
If your roommate done with school and distracting you, you’ll need to find a quiet place to study. Study spaces are available in NYC and PLV. In NYC, the Student Union will be open extended hours (8:00 p.m. until midnight) for studying on Tuesday, December 13 through Wednesday, December 21.
Glass Case of Quiet (NYC)
Sometimes you need to swim away from it all and find a peaceful study spot. The Birnbaum Library Setters Lounge and Fishbowl are now open 24 hours to help accommodate your study space needs around the clock.
No Time to Kill: Tutoring Hours Extended (NYC)
The NYC Tutoring Center has extended their hours to help you prepare for finals.

- >> Topics: accounting, chemistry, biology, computer science, economics, finance, and math
- >> Sunday, December 11 | 2:00 p.m.–6:00 p.m. | Library

In PLV, the Tutoring Center, located in room 309 of the Mortola Library, is open Monday through Thursday from 10:00 a.m.–9:00 p.m., and Sunday from 4:00 p.m.–6:00 p.m. for students who need help in topics ranging from linear algebra to logic. Paper Trail: Writing Center Help (NYC and PLV)
Are you buried under a mountain of papers? The Writing Center can help dig you out. Stop by Y25 in One Pace Plaza (around the corner from the main computer lab) in NYC and 15B Miller Hall and 134 Alumni Hall in PLV, to ace those papers.
For the remainder of the fall semester, the NYC Writing Center will be doing 30-minute walk-in sessions only, so no need to make an appointment! They are open Monday through Thursday from 10:00 a.m.–8:00 p.m., and Friday from 10:00 a.m.–3:00 p.m.
The PLV Writing Center is open Monday through Thursday from 10:00 a.m.–7:00 p.m., and has satellite hours in 134 Alumni Hall on Sundays from 4:00 p.m.–10:00 p.m. Make an appointment.

Join the First Gen Task Force for their upcoming event “Bring a Buddy to Study” on Tuesday, December 13, from 3:20 p.m.–4:20 p.m. in the Student Union Reading Room. Grab your textbooks and other study materials, and learn some excellent study tips to help ace your way through the rest of the semester.
