News Story

Are you the first in your family to go to college? You're not alone. Meet and greet with other first generation students on February 11.

According to a 2010 study conducted by the Department of Education, 50 percent of the college population is made up of first generation students.

Being a first generation college student means grappling with issues other students may not be able to entirely relate to. On Thursday, February 11, from 3:25 p.m. to 4:25 p.m. in the Student Union’s Meeting Room A, connect with other first generation college students and get information about specific programs designed to help you at the 1st Gens Meet and Greet.

Co-sponsored by TRiO Student Support Services and SDACA. For more info, contact Jonathan Hooker at jhooker@pace.edu or Carmela Oniszko at coniszko@pace.edu.
