Check This Out (PLV)
Mortola Library is giving new meaning to the term “shelf life” on March 2 as they host a Human Library event, where the Pace Community can check out a living book.
Wanna take out a veteran out for a chat? Or how about a programmer turned professor turned preacher? On Wednesday, March 2, borrow people instead of books as Mortola Library hosts the Human Library from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. in the Library Lobby.
Explore the unique stories and experiences that define students, faculty, and staff at Pace, and challenge your perspectives by meeting the explorers, the pioneers, the courageous, and the resilient of the Pace Community.
Borrow a human “book” from the Pace Community for 30 minutes of unscripted, meaningful, and challenging conversation.
For more info, contact Steve Feyl at email@example.com.
The Human Library began in Denmark in 2000 and has grown into an internationally-recognized event, challenging stereotypes and prejudices, and promoting understanding and encouraging dialogue. For more information, visit http://humanlibrary.org.
And that’s not all the fun that's happening at the Library. Answering Bustin Jieber’s famous question “Is it too late now to play Sorry?” Mortola says “Not if you go to the Library.” Stop by game night, featuring 30+ games including Sorry, Monopoly, LIFE, Apples to Apples, Funemployed, and much more, on Friday, March 4, from 7:00 p.m.–10:00 p.m.
