All You Knit Is Love (NYC)

News Story

The holiday season may seem far away, but it's going to take some time to knit 400 hats and blankets for children in hospitals. Join the Office of Multicultural Affairs in knitting for a cause!

Ok, so we know knitting isn't every college student's cup of tea. And neither is tea for that matter. But what if you were knitting for a cause? And that cause was hats and blankets for pediatric patients at Harlem Hospital...then would you pick up the knitting needles?

The Knitting Salon, now an annual tradition hosted by the Office of Multicultural Affairs (OMA), is back and with an ambitious goal: to knit 400 hats and blankets for these sick infants and children and give the gift of warmth this upcoming holiday season.

Join novice and seasoned knitters from 12:30 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. on select Fridays (October 9, 16, 23, and 30; November 6, 13, and 20; December 4) in the 41 Park Row 9th floor reception area. Bring your own needles (16-inch circular needle, size 8 or 9) and OMA will supply the yarn.

E-mail Denise Santiago, PhD, at dsantiago@pace.edu for more info. But trust us when we say, you’re going to be hooked. Womp womp.
